Quoting you, Mr. Disalari: "Islam could be the second-largest religion in America by 2015, surpassing Judaism, according to some estimates. By some estimates, Islam has achieved that rank already."

The following comes from NSRI and ARIS data (2004). :

total population of Chrsitians in U.S.A. : 224,437,959

total population of followers of Judaism : 3,995,371

total population of followers of Islam : 1,558,068

total population of nonreligious/secular : 38,865,604

Total of Muslims in the U.S.A. : 6,000,000 (approx. 2,000,000 regularly attend Mosques)

81% of Americans identify themselves with a specific religion. 0.5% are followers of Islam.
