I visited Egypt in 1988 – after the peace agreement with Israel.
I went to a site there not frequented by foreign tourists – the Military Museum in Cairo (across from Grand Mosque). According to the museum’s exhibits, Egypt, not Israel, won the 1967 war. Actually, the exhibits stated that Egypt won ALL wars with Israel. This misinformation is not limited to only one museum, but is widespread in Arab countries.
With this kind of information the lessons of wars are lost on the Arab street.
