I would comment that the Six Day War was probably the most overwhelming UPSET in modern warfare, in terms of casualties and strategic defeat, because the most overwhelming victory in modern warfare was not an upset at all -- the Gulf War was not just a decimation or centimation but a millimation -- 1000-1 in casualties suffered by Iraq vs. the US and allies.
