Reader comment on item: Londonistan Follies
in response to reader comment: Again correct, Islamists operated freely in London

Yes, London is- and has always been- a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural city. French Protestants, Russian Jews and other minorities were always welcomed in your country, Mr. Tim Conway. Britain certainly has a very positive and impressive human rights record. Mussolini and Hitler could never have taken power in London and held office in Westminster. British democracy is very old and minorities enjoy their rights in a way which is unthinkable in continental Europe. There are very few black policemen, in London, but still, it is easier to be black in London than in Germany or even France. Londonistan- the world of Islamic fundamentalists in London- took advantage of the human rights record of Great Britain.

Abu 'Captain Hook' Hamza receives state benefits from the British tax-payer and Islamic organizations are allowed to operate freely in London. This blog was entitled 'Londonistan Follies', precisely because a lot of Islamic terrorists are based in tolerant London. While I praise the political and religious tolerance of the British people, I find it worrying that Islamic murderers are allowed to operate freely in London. My view of Britain is not entirely negative: 1,000 years of democracy, the Westminster system, a more stable system than in Europe. British politicians are less corrupt than Italian and French politicians. However, Britain is far too tolerant of Militant Islam. If you don't believe me, Mr. Conway, go to the London Central Mosque, Baker St., or to Finsbury Park or Stratford in East London. There are Islamic bookshops where you can buy Jihad videos and throat-slitting videos. This is a more balanced view of Londonistan.
