Should I Be Afraid...?Reader comment on item: 'Become a Muslim warrior' Submitted by Jackie Frentzel (United States), Nov 20, 2002 at 19:38 Not to disrespect the opinions of other commenters here, but get a grip! Your children are not as naive and impressionable as you may wish to believe. Between the media, covering all things dark and gruesome, to parents, trying desperately to censor their children from the world, we have precious little naivite` left, and in all the wrong places. But I digress. The point I'm trying to make is that, while this particular curriculum may be a bit *ahem* EXTREME in its procedures, there is absolutely no cause to get all up in arms over it. 12 year olds are perfectly capable of distinguishing between a slightly over-the-top learning experience and a recruitment session for Islam. I beg you to give your children some credit, and at least see how they seem to be handling the situation before forming a lynch mob and setting fire to the school. I'm exaggerating, (I hope...) but I'm sure you get the picture. ..Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
