To Ayub - You Are Absolutely RightReader comment on item: "How Dare You Defame Islam" Submitted by Timothy M Burton (United Kingdom), Mar 9, 2006 at 14:12 Ayub - Indeed everybody should learn about Islam. And they should learn in a way that allows the Koran to be translated, and to put it into context and chronological order to make sense of it - rather than learning great swathes of it by rote. It may have a poetic resonance in its original language but there is no disguising the barbarism behind the honeyed words - the reader must believe, convert or die. The sooner that it is appreciated for what it is - a satanic belief system masquerading as a religion - the sooner that millions if not billions of enslaved souls will be freed from its yoke and true progress will be made in this world. We have a saying in this country - the devil cannot stand to be mocked - and when nobody can question the foundations of this belief system without being subject to vilification, intimidation and numerous death threats - then the truth of that saying becomes clear. I welcome the day when we may have a free and unfettered debate about Islam. A truly great religion should have nothing to fear from openness and free discussion.
