The all debate around Obama's Islam linkage shows clearly that to what extent the American communities have been maddened by the fear of Islam. The debate suggests that it should not be possible for a person if he/she had any kind of connection with Islam.

The debate also shows that the fear about terrorism is not actually related to terrorism, but related to a particular religion itself. This gives credentials to those allegations that the US is not fighting against terrorism but the war is on Islam and Muslim socieites.

It is not difficult to find out the background of the Islamophobic writings and campaign in the US, and many European countries. One can read easily the phenomenon started after the neocons and the Jewish lobbies started spreading fear after Islam started finding its appeal to the western socities. The figure of Muslim population in the US and western countries was not the product of migration from Asian or African countries, but it was also the result of indegnours growth in the muslim population and huge conversions.

It was not surprising that Islam could easily find inroads to the highly-rationalised, modernised, egoistic socities. It was the vision, the ethics, the moral codes that attracted the people who converted to Islam.

The whole drama of war on terror, islamic fundamentalism was the expression of a fear that If Islam alllowed to continue its appeal to the western socities, their culture, polity, economy would be disturbed, nothing else.

I think that any body, who has got a bit of wisdom, thinking power to analyse different soci-political, phenomina, will not be misguided by the false allegation of the vested interests and the politicians who are trying to mud the water and catch fish.
