This is Islam today...and always.

The Muslim MO:

Once in-country refuse to assimilate.

Reproduce prodigiously.

Intimidate (gently, initially) and eventually terrorize natives ("convert to Islam, or flee!") within and on the fringe of an ever-expanding Muslim "ghetto."

Claim racism in response to all anti-muslim complaints, engaging the always-available support of feckless Western multiculturalists.

And finally, demand a separate muslim nation as the only solution to accommodate "an intractable hostility between muslim and non-muslim."

Thus:

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia–The Philippines government and separatist rebels have struck a deal on creating a Muslim homeland in the country's south, which is expected to lead to a peace accord next year, officials said yesterday.

Time, 9/24/07:

"Albanian failure to provide a safe haven for Kosovo's Serbian [Christian] minority…" They say that the only solution is to create an independent muslim Kosovo.

And this, within the past year!

Soon to follow (?): Cyprus, Kashmir...Malmo.
