Concept of "unpatriotic"

The question of a preemptive strike on Iraq, which I personally oppose until every other avenue has been exhausted, is a very controversial one and is favored and opposed by reputable. well-informed citizens. What is most troubling is the cavalier manner with which some refer to those with a different view as unpatriotic. Americans who take up arms against this country are unpatriotic. Those who favor or oppose the headlong rush into war can hardly be considered "unpatriotic" except by those whose concept of democracy is faulty.
