The Rise of College Anti semitismSubmitted by Allyson Rowen Taylor (United States), Oct 11, 2002 at 11:37 Daniel Pipes is right. The responsibility lies in the hands of the professors, who make a choice when they define Jihad, as a an effort for Islam that improves human rights. The title of the speech by the young Muslim at Harvard, "My Jihad", was really very similar to Hitler's "Mein Kampf", or "my struggle". The condoning of this hatred on platforms, has given the antiSemites permission to spew their hatred outside of closed circles. When a Jew, wearing a kippa, on campus, is yelled at with, "Let's finish the job Hitler started," and there is no outcry, the repercussions are horrific. If anybody called an African American the "n" word, the campus would have the perpetrator expelled, and classes for tolerance would be required for all the students. Any parent, who is concerned about what their child will learn on campus, and for their safety, has a right to a web site like "Campus Watch". If the need was not there, this site would not exist. However, Professors, who have decided to preach their anti Jewish, anti-semitic rhetoric, under the guise of intellectualism, have to be exposed for who, and what they are, "Jew Haters." As a parent of a university bound child, I have every right to know what my son will be learning, and who will be teachng him.I support the project, and salute Dr. Pipes for bringing it to light.
