Questioning Roman Basis of Western Civilization - True Basis of Law

Reader comment on item: How Fares Western Civ?
in response to reader comment: Is Multiculturalism a product of Western civilization?

Researching the question of how does Western civilization continue into the future is posed. When it appears to be challenged for its loss of moral direction or compass in the face of societal tremors of lawlessness around the world in unprecedented factiousness; does recycled socialist fantasies of the 'perfect' environment are now dreamed come true in which all ivory towers of previous civilizations are brought down by individual and multiple perversions of unrestrained liberties; let the mob rule.
In the attempt to discern the difference between other civilizations and 'Western' civilizations, one must make a determination of which sources (academic, liturgical) need to be developed in order to craft certain criteria, by which any analysis that is used to define advantages and liabilities through which those societies followed for foundational truths, certain civil constructs (laws) were formed so that citizens knew what the limitations of liberties were. It is the rule of law. But, the question is begged: whose law?
Not wanting, nor needing, to recount the entirety of history in alleging who is responsible for initiating the ('Western') culture of the civilization we are immersed in today, let it be sufficient to surmise that even though the 'fertile crescent' of the Sumerian/Babylonian/Mesopotamian locality was, for a great period of time, the starting point, the record shows oriental and occidental 'societies' emerging and setting their own courses in expanding and developing unique 'national' identities, the oriental influences going east, and opposing societies venturing west (occidental). The Greeks, for a time, are called an initial cause of western philosophy. Were Aristotle and Plato wrong?
So, we move in time forward to find a new society forming in the seven hills surrounded by the middle of the Mediterranean plot of land now known as Italy, ushering in a revision to Greek society; democracy of the people is replaced by republican representation of the people. Eventually, this collapsed and power was usurped by the next generation of the leadership; and an empire resulted. Under this premise, this observer promulgates: government by mankind is doomed to cyclical desires for freedom under the rule of law, only to be usurped by inherent deviant pride of an elitist humanist mentality and imposition of lies and errors result in the loss of truth.
Now this simplistic Reader's Digest version of the beginning of 'Western Civilization' cannot bring to bear all of the influences that have resulted in the current civilization which is under attack to its very foundations; but a supposition is premised here that whatever the foundations that were purportedly the basis of Western culture, in the present tense, are already subverted and replacement theory (even replacement theology) has become the defective philosophy by which all arguments to preserve 'Western Civilization' are now based. If this conjecture is proven in any fashion of logical assertion, one can draw any type of conclusion as to where everything is going. Are we ready for that journey?
However, are we ready to press the issue: does Oriental civilization stand any better chance? Asian culture had been compromised long ago, even as we assert corruption of Western Influences, like the Chinese operating in socialists' perversions of western style of government that has corrupted the occidental culture.
There is the third version; but that has been argued as passé and results are not yet conclusive. Still, when it becomes reality and its basis in true law is proved, who will be ready for it? Anyone?
