A disappointing 2017.

Reader comment on item: A Conservative in the Age of Trump
in response to reader comment: This World Needing Assurance Does Not Know Where to Find it

Hi, Tovey. You said,

"But who knew that President Trump could exacerbate all of it by FINALLY executing American law in concert with the Eternal Covenant and declaring the United States of America's preference to dealing with Israel in their own capital, Jerusalem."

I certainly didn't know!

2017 did indeed come and go; and nothing that I thought would happen has happened. I thought the total solar eclipse on Aug. 23 would be a major new beginning. In retrospect, it surely was: the Main political event was Steve Bannon leaving the White House. We haven't even begun to see the ramifications of that; and they will be MAJOR.

Concerning Ezekiel 38-39, I thought Turkey would begin its attack on Israel. If it has, President Erdogan has certainly been taking his time about it. Here's the nearest I could find:

"Erdogan visits Jordan as Syria's neighbours rekindle relations
Prospect of an end to wars in Syria and Iraq presents opportunities for both countries "

Since then, Russia has begun pulling out of Syria and Turkey has done very little.

Yes, Trump announced an embassy move -- which, I will note, will likely be a LONG way in the making. We also may be at war with North Korea in a couple of months, after an Olympic Truce. Then again, either Robert Mueller or Donald Trump might find themselves removed from office in a couple of months.

Might, maybe, could... Nothing is certain, nothing has been decided, and it seems all bets are off for 2018. I won't complain -- it's better, MUCH better, than being swallowed by a geat fish like Jonah was

God bless and keep you. A prosperous secular New Year to you. Baruch Hashem.
