Reader comment on item: What's a Conservative to Do? Vote for Pence

If you want to see "formidable conservative" Pence take over the Presidency after Trump is impeached, don't you need first that Trump be elected president? Why then waste the vote on Pence?

For your commentary and predictions (that I do not share) to make sense, you need to get Trump elected, and that means voting for Trump.

It makes perfect sense. Given a choice of two unacceptable candidates, I am picking the one I would prefer to win. But under no circumstances could I ever support him with my vote.
