... I am genuinely disappointed.

As you rightly note, if Trump wins, he - and the rest of the nation and the world - will take it as a stamp of American approval for his erratic, authoritarian tendencies, not to mention his messy personal affairs. This is acceptable to you?

You rationalize all this by arguing that Mike Pence might become president if Trump is impeached. That's a lot of ifs there. How do you even defend rooting for the catastrophe to happen, just for a faint chance that it might work out alright in the end? ...

I truly hope you didn't mean any of this.
