Mr. Pipes, you get Christian Doctrine Wrong

Reader comment on item: The Jewish-Muslim Connection: Traditional Ways of Life

Submitted by Harald Thorsson (United States), Nov 21, 2015 at 11:06

I can't believe you have let this article stand, unaltered, uncorrected, since 1981.

Christians do not teach that The Law has lost its validity. The Ten Commandments are as eternal as the One who wrote them. Christians teach that The Eternal Law is so perfect that fallen man stands condemned. The Law cannot save those whom it condemns. What saves is the Messiah substituting Himself, and being condemned in the place of sinners who trust in him. That theology is amply demonstrated in the Jewish sacrifice pictured in the Old Testament, or Torah. The priest sacrifices an innocent lamb in place of the people. Their sins are transferred to the scapegoat which takes the sins of the people away into the wilderness to be gone and forgotten. Yeshua is the lamb.
