Slight MisperceptionReader comment on item: The Jewish-Muslim Connection: Traditional Ways of Life Submitted by Zachariah Simmons (United States), Nov 3, 2008 at 14:08 Jesus did accept and maintain the Jewish laws like you said, but not in the way you portrayed it. He maintained them in that he was perfect and also in that it was Jewish custom to sacrifice a perfect lamb without blemish for a sin offering. Because we as a people of the earth could not keep with the perfect commandments God gave us Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins once and for all. Therefore we do not hold to the old Jewish customs and commandments because that is NOT our salvation. Our salvation is in Christ Jesus, and in the grace he gives us through the blood he shed on our behalf. ... Because this is the reason we do not hold to the old Jewish commandments, and this is what most Christians believe.
