Reader comment on item: A Muhammad Cartoon a Day

Submitted by Jack (United States), Sep 21, 2012 at 21:04

Who is Molly Norris? She is the liberal cartoonist in Seattle who created "Let's Draw Mohammed" which was to be a program where everyone would draw a favorable picture of Mohammed and put them on the internet.

The fatwah issued against her, calling for her death forced her into hiding since the FBI refused to help her and she is now a non-person with none of the freedom of Rushdie. And the government of Pakistan even shut down websites that carried her most gentle cartoons, including Wikipedia.
