Reader comment on item: Romney's Remarkable Speech in Jerusalem

I wish it was more exciting to see Romney behave predictably and well performed (and he did do an especially good job, admittedly) but that was what was expected, no? All Republican candidates and democratic ones too do their photo ops in Jerusalem (and yes, it was good that he reiterated that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel). But, as another reader pointed out, George W Bush was making great speeches while his Secretary of State Condi Rice was making life very difficult for the Israelis. In history in fact, the more positive hyperboly used by US Presidents towards Israel, the more damage was ending up done (remember Bill Clinton and how loved he was, he forced the Oslo and camp David accords- enough said).
