What Israelis thinkReader comment on item: On Biden in Israel Submitted by Edward L. (United States), Mar 13, 2010 at 14:45 Just finished speaking with a right of center Israeli who I studied with at SAIS last yr. He says mainstream Israelis are upset about Biden being insulted. What bothers Israelis most is that a fairly insignificant committee can make decisions (and announcements) about annexing East Jerusalem. Many feel the Interior Minister ought to have been fired. Unlike the Amen Chorus who post here, the vast majority of Israelis don't like it when their leaders upset the U.S. That's partly why Bibi lost power in the 90s. At the time, Israelis didn't want a PM despised by the Clintons. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
