Commitment to Israel may be a ruseReader comment on item: On Biden in Israel Submitted by Gamaliel Isaac (United States), Mar 11, 2010 at 05:57 Dennis Rose in his book A Hollow Peace wrote about the importance of convincing Israel that the U.S. was behind it's security, so that Israel would feel safe enough to make concessions. That doesn't mean the U.S. government really does stand behind Israel. Just the fact that the U.S. , under the Obama adminstration, wants Israel to retreat to the indefensible 1948 lines is proof that the U.S. doesn't stand behind Israel.
