Islam is not a violent religion...i request you to read the full story of prophet mohammed...prophet Mohammed(peace be on him)did not want to fight...before fighting,the non-believers tried to kill mohammed and his followers...they tried to kill by forming an army...so only prophet Mohammed formed an army and fought them...it was not Prophet Mohammed who first started the war...he started to preach Islam in peaceful ways only...the non~believers did not like his preachings...so they used violent means...this was the reason prophet Mohammed formed an army and fought................

and i dont think american govt is imperfect...its the mindset of people which matters.......

one more thing....Mohammed did not write Quran,Quran was sent by Allah to earth to prophet Mohammed through angel Gibrael...........ok.....i hope this helps you...........
