Welcoming Dalai LamaReader comment on item: Swiss Minarets and European Islam Submitted by VK Tiwari (India), Dec 12, 2009 at 12:43 Dear Salah Ali Welcoming Dalai Lama (living symbol of peace) to India way back in 1959 was not only an act of tolerance but to help the minority also. On the opposite, destruction of historical Bamiyan Buddha statuesby radical muslims in Afghanistan was a pure act of intolerance. Welcoming Muslims to christian countries is tolerance whereas not permitting to build Churches, Temples in Islamic lands are real intolerance. This list of such intolerance is very long. It is quite obvious that such intolerance by muslims is caused (by reaction) the possible ban on the minarets though it is also an act of intolerance.
