french election campaign poster of FN is a variation of the swiss posterReader comment on item: Swiss Minarets and European Islam Submitted by myth (Germany), Mar 13, 2010 at 05:24 A link to French paper Le Monde: http://www.lemonde.fr/elections-regionales/article/2010/03/12/le-tribunal-de-marseille-ordonne-le-retrait-d-affiches-du-fn_1318545_1293905.html. The article is about a judge in Marseille ruling the FN to withdraw a campaign poster of the French right-wing party Front National. It is a variation of the Swiss poster for the minaret ban. The variation is this: The French territory is no longer cut out of a French flag but out of an Algerian flag. My comment: This change of flag is a shift from an anti-Islamic message to an anti-immigrant message, specifically against the particular country of Algeria. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
