yes , 20000 kms from Australia's isolated West coast we can find show churches in Indonesia's capital city, Jakarta. It makes good business sense for the government to appear to allow a modicum of diversity - after all - Indonesia is a major sink of Western aid - including massive amounts from Australia. So to keep the westerners happy and make it look like Indonesia is towing the line regarding human rights - and of course to keep the minoroty of non-muslims happier than they otherwise would be - some churches and temples are allowed.

But look elsewhere around the archipelago we can find the same Muslim intolerance we see in Pakistan , Afghanistan , Iran - all throughout the Islamic world.
