Our nation is in a precarious position - between that of violating our constitutional rights and the fear of absorbing terrorists and infliltrators into our society who mean us every single harm they are capable of inflicting upon us. As a person of Jewish background I think of prejudices, racism, and the ultimate result from those evils the "final solution" and the Holocaust; but my goodness, if our FBI and government agencies were as liberal back then as they are now, the nation of the United States of America would all be speaking German now and be under the constant surveillance of goose-stepping Nazis.

But of course, I am in fear of capitulating to those fears of violation of civil liberties and letting those in control run wild with those liberties so I feel, as of late, as if I am a schizophrenic - not knowing which is the best way for us to conduct our lives. I just hope that good triumphs over evil, with American freedom values being victorious, and with the purging of those primitive thinkers from our "land of liberty." Let us pray we will be triumphant....Louise Kostrinsky
