Agreed on all points. But it's worth noting the irony: When Pierre Trudeau moved to decriminalize homosexual acts in Canada he said his government had no business in the bedrooms of the nation. Imagine how strange it would have been for him to say that though the Canadian government had no business in the nation's bedrooms he would move sternly against what Belgians did in theirs.
