Further elaboration, please

Would Daniel please clarify his comment: "Displeased as I am over the "settlement" issue, I prefer this situation to the reverse: Israeliis free to build bedrooms but not to deal with Iran. (July 7, 2009)"

I do appreciate that he agees the US has no right to determine what Israel does yet, why does he not wish Israel to full choice in all areas? Is he against settlements on land that is historically Jewish? And, why not bomb Iran since diplomacy and sanctions will not work?
