So what is this choice for?

Reader comment on item: Ahmadinejad or Mousavi?

Where does this simple choice between Ahmadnejad and Mosavi place Khamenei?

I mean in the larger scheme of things, these two ( Ahmadinejad and Mosavi) are filling the position of President in a much larger and more complex organizational structure.

The main decision maker in the organization of the "Islamic Republic" is not the President of the Islamic Republic, but the "Supreme Ayatollah" of the Islamic Republic, so why waste time in making a choice between Mosavi or Ahmadinejad, if we do not know what does this mean for Khamenei.
