Everyone has a right to express his/her opinion in IsraelReader comment on item: Iran's Representative in the Knesset - Haneen Zuabi Submitted by Debanjan Banerjee (India), Apr 1, 2009 at 07:16 Mr. Pipes, I believe Israel as a democracy and as a democracy it should allow every one of it's citizen full freedom of speech. I remember you supported the freedom of speech for people like Geert Wilders and Ayan Hirshi Ali. I wonder why you are having double standards on this case. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: First, read again what I wrote; I did not express a viewpoint on Zuabi's right to freedom of speech. Second, there seems to me a slight difference between someone trying to save a country from extinction and someone urging that same extinction. Comment on this item
