Hypocrisy of Islamic leaders

Reader comment on item: Iran's Representative in the Knesset - Haneen Zuabi
in response to reader comment: The Very Concept

Submitted by Sunil Sarang (United States), Apr 7, 2009 at 23:22

Dear Dr. Pipes: Nesivos very correctly points out the hypocrisy of Haneen Zuabi's statement. Ms Zuabi has guts to criticize Israel as a Jewish state (which is liberal enough to allow her to be elected to its parliament) while as soon as a geographical region becomes 51% Islamic, it either becomes a Islamic nation or a candidate to independence from its secular roots.

But Ms Zuabi is not an exception. In India biggest supporters of secularism and democracy are Muslim scholars. In the United States who can deny CAIR's unflinching commitment to human rights, democracy, and separation of church and state.

It is the duty of everyone who loves freedom and democracy to point out the hypocrisy of Islamic politicians and scholars. And I hope at least one muslim among the millions is taking a note of this hypocrisy and pledging to do something about it.
