7c answerReader comment on item: Knights Templar Trial Records Made Public – After Seven Centuries Submitted by author (Australia), Mar 14, 2009 at 16:24 As a few people have asked I will answer what I think you are looking for....why the 7 century disappearance f the Chinon document....simple answer is it was mislaid for a few centuries and before that the political landscape did not allow for the remants of the Templars to pursue it....be honest what do you think the Vatican would have said....yes sorry we made a mistake....not likely but thanks to a monk making a clerical mistake it went missing for a few hundred years, The document does not 'forgive the Templars" it actually says their is nothing to forgive..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7044741.stm but dont take my word for it...
