Response to west will decline

I agree there is alot of racism in NZ, but you can't sit there and say that all white European people think they are superior and are snobby. I was born in England and moved to NZ when i was 19, when i moved here i was warned by some older chinese people that maoris are all bad.

There has only ever been one occasion when a Maori has caused me any grief in 6 years of living here. All the other Maori's have been sweet as. I think a few Maori ruin it for the majority by acting like twats, thats not just my opinion thats the opinion of the Maori that i know.

I think the older generation in NZ is very racist, i think the majority of younger people today are not. Racism is ignorance, if your a Maori and you choose not to 'hang out' with someone because of their colour then your ignorant.

Maybe it's different for me, i'm english, dad is welsh, wife is Australian/ Phillipino, Auntie is chinese ,so we have a huge chinese family, other auntie is indian, sister married into a huge italian family. My best mate is African and the other Maori. can you imagine christmas?

At the end of the day all the people i know are not racist but maybe its to do with my family build or the area i live in. Racist people are basically people who are scared of something diffrent, to all of you i say don't judge an entire race on the actions of a few.
