Bhutto was undoubtedly the greatest of leaders in the post-creation history of pakistan. Today we are living in a country, pakistan, belongs to ZAB. It was he who realised the gravity of the post-Bangladesh creation sitiuation of pakistan. Having realised the threat which Pakistan was to face in the wake of its dismemberment, he resolved to make Pakistan a nuclear state. Because it was only an atomic bomb which could ensure Pakistan's survival against the might of India, and history has substantiated that he was true. Had Pakistan not been a nuclear state, India would have finished Pakistan in 1990's.

But he was a victim of self-created megalomania for he was going to challenge the United States without any ground work i.e he had not prepared the nation for armagadon with the USA. He was solely relying upon the Armed Forces of the country, and the Armed Forces, very wisely, deposed him and saved Pakistan from further ruin.
