Dealing with the Jihadis - Now, or LaterReader comment on item: America the unpopular Submitted by Ray Kraft (United States), Nov 6, 2003 at 20:13 The more radical elements of the Arab / Islamic world are not exactly shy about telling us that they believe all us infidels must be exterminated or subjugated, consistent with certain passages and prophecies of the Koran, and that they will use any means available to do it.America's critics, foreign and domestic, are disingenously avoiding the real issue in this confrontation, which is that we have three choices, none of them pleasant: (1) We can surrender to the Jihadis' vision of a global Islamic theocracy, and allow what we know now as Western Civilization drift into the dustbin of history; (2) We can deal with the Jihadis now, before they get nukes; (3) We can deal with the Jihadis later, when they have nukes. Maybe the Bush administration needs to be a little more forthright and specific about this, but these seem to be our options. And those who have not yet grappled with the problem need to.
