Not all AFL-CIO members are liberalsReader comment on item: America the unpopular Submitted by Robert Fink (United States), Nov 5, 2003 at 17:57 I read all of your articles and think that you have a complete hold of the issues in the middle east. The article, America the Unpopular, was great, but I can assure you, as a member of the AFL-CIO, we are not all leftwing liberals. Some of us, a vanguard, against the old leadership of backing liberals, are trying to change the AFL-CIO image. Those of us who disagree with the leadership on political issues, are free thinkers, not bought and used by the liberals, or the Democrat party. The political favors bought and sold by the AFL-CIO are not the feelings of the working class members, just those of the bought and sold leaders. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
