America and Western Culture

Reader comment on item: America the Unpopular

Submitted by Raymond Low (United States), Nov 6, 2003 at 18:11

I am an immigrant to America from a non-Western country. However, I was raised in the Judeo-Christianity tradition and understand the need for Western Civilization (in the Judeo-christian mold) to triumph for humanity's sake.

We shouldn't be worried about being popular. This is not a popularity contest but a battle to survive. Do you think I care how I dress or how I look or how physically attractive I am when I'm stuck in a burning 100-storey building trying to fight for my life????? The same is applied to our national life. We should only be guided by the principles of our values, which is the Western Judeo-Christian culture, and fight to win this war. We MUST NEVER give in to popular opinions, current whims and fancies (such as political correctness), when determining our goals and fighting for our survival. Doing so will guarantee our doom and if we do, we'll deserve the loss and be prepared to be subjugated by an enemy which is determined and are already fighting and undermining us from overseas and from within our borders.

Tolerance is one thing but we should strike a fierce blow at the enemy. No pussy-footing and no nice politically correct niceties.
