Syed Kasim, read your history and scripturesReader comment on item: Too Many Mosques? Submitted by Hisham (United States), Oct 4, 2007 at 18:50 Syed Kasim: You need to get acquainted with your history. Jizya was always much higher than zakat which is2.5% of savings. .It was an indirect way of christian and jews to convert to islam to avoid the heavy burden. First Jizya was imposed by prophet on Khaybar after Khaybar was invaded their men killed, their women captured and their lands occupied. That jizya was 50 % of the crop to let them live on theor own land. Muslim kings imposed it on hindus althopugh quran calls for Jizya from people of the book only (9.29) Islam was spread in Indonesia through Malaysia. Malaysian hindu king was converted by trickery after his muslim girlfriend, offered to the childless raja by arab traders, became pregnant (actually by an arab) and happy king wanted to marry her and was told that he had to convert before he could marry her. Read it all on http://www.historyofjihad.com/. Read your quran and your prophet's violent Madina life in your hadiths and sira books (or http://www.faithfreedom.org/, http://islam-watch.org/, http://prophetofdoom.net/ if you have no time), you will realise wthat islam is... like I, an ex- muslim did..
