TT, I believe you left out one group.....muslims. After Mohammed had ordered the beheading of between 600 and 900 Jewish men and boys, the women and children became slaves of the muslims. The Crusades began because muslim were attacking and killing or selling into slavery Christians who were on pilgramage to the Holy Land.

Arabs were very much part of the the Slave trade and were very adept at enslaving people; the Janassarians are an example. Christian boys who were stolen from there families and made to be bodyguards to the Sultan. Let's not forget about the Barbary Coast. Muslims attacking ships in the Mediterranean and selling those who survived into slavery. Today, the genocide by the Islamic Government of Sudan against the Christians and Anamist in the South.

The Islamic Army of Sudan bombs the village first. Then, they come and burn the homes forcing out whoever is still alive. The men are killed and women and girls are raped. The women and children are sold into slavery. Christian groups have been buying, yes buying out of slavery their fellow Christians for years. Slavery is still practice in areas of North Africa. The Gulf States' and Saudi Arabia's treatment of their "guest workers" borders on slavery. As an American, I'm aware of my country's ugly past of slaughter of Native Americans and slavery. We have condemned the immoral actions of the past and injustices. Efforts have been made to rectify them.

The Islamic world is silent about it's own sins. I feel sorry for muslims because they can't be introspective and take responsibility for your mistakes and sins. You can't see the inherent injustice and immorality of killing apostates. You can't see that killing someone because they don't accept your faith is murder, not righteousness in God's eyes. You can't see how calling Jews "descendents of apes and pigs" has nothing to do with a so-called "benefcient and merciful" Allah (God) but is racist and dehumanizing. When will an Islamic Imam or Ayatollah rise up like John Paul II and ask for forgiveness for muslim sins committed against non-muslims?

I don't believe it will ever happen because your religion condones killing in the name of God. Violence, death, and destruction are inherent in your religion and in your history. Slavery happens because you believe another human being or groups of human beings are beneath you, inferior, maybe even devoid of a soul. Your conscience shuts down. You begin to rationalize that your treatment is somehow ok because they are nothing like you. You are so much better than them. They because a means-to-and-end.

The means, no matter how immoral, is somehow rationalized because they aren't you. You've just violated the Jesus' second commandment... love your neighbor as yourself. Isn't that plank in your eye getting heavy?
