Reader comment on item: Too Many Mosques?

Submitted by a proud muslim (United States), Oct 5, 2007 at 21:03

how sad. you will never hear anyone say, there are too many churches in America.

it's really quite simple: freedom of religion. mosques are the house of God and a place of worship, not breeding grounds for terrorists. mosques preach peace, not violence. after 9/11 countless young men have been thrown in jail for being innocent practicing Muslims, it really shows how radical this country is becoming; in ignorance and racism that is. just like there would be an uproar if a practicing Christian man was thrown in jail, accused of being a radical.

think about it. I think it's just disgusting how he can say that and call himself a "representative of congress", if anything he should be representing the ideals America "supposedly" represents. freedom of speech, religion, etc etc. ... he is inducing this new idea that mosques areterrorist breeding grounds simply so more innocent Muslim families can be thrown in jail, have their phones tabbed, and be deported.
