Why Would We Expect Anything Else?

Reader comment on item: U.S. to Israel: Do As We Say ...

Submitted by "JB" in PGH (United States), Jul 1, 2003 at 16:04

This double standard should come as no surprise to anyone. Israel should have learned, a long time ago, it cannot depend on anyone(even its closest "allies") to say, or do, the right thing.

The bottom line will always be that Israel is A L O N E. Everyone else, including the United States, has its own agenda, and Israel does not figure into it. At this point, why does Israel even care what they are "allowed" and "not allowed" to do? They're damned either way. This may seem a little extreme, but I hope I am alive to see the day Israel cuts loose, and goes ballistic on the world. ...
