Hypocrisy and worse

Reader comment on item: U.S. to Israel: Do As We Say ...

Submitted by Glenn Klotz (United States), Jul 1, 2003 at 12:54

The U.S. needs Israel to bend a knee and do as it's told because otherwise we will lose the support of the so called "moderate Arab" states. At least that's the rationale.

What our government doesn't seem to understand is that even if Israel didn't exist or was destroyed, the Jihadists would then ask for Spain.

Islamic fundamentalism, not unlike the Communists and the Fascists, wants to dominate the planet and it can do it peacefully, if we surrender.

What Israel doesn't understand is that elements in the west see it as a failed settlement on Arab/Muslim land, one that needs to be abandoned for the sake of peace.

This is why you always hear the Left bring up So. Africa as an example.

But many on the right feel the same way. Having little or no sympathy for the Israelis or Jews, they have no problem with giving it back to the Arabs.

This so called road map is a road with Israel's destruction as an end goal but it's a dead end as we shall all see very soon. When the Palestinians don't get what they demand, the "suicide bombers" will be let loose once again.
