Never thank...never apologize

Reader comment on item: Is Tariq Ramadan Lying [about Magdi Allam]?
in response to reader comment: Lying endemic to Arab culture?

Submitted by Nouna (Lebanon), Apr 3, 2007 at 21:10

Arab people usually find difficulties saying "thank you" and "sorry". I think that the un-founded-ego that stamps the majority of Arabs is the main reason that stands behind this culture: Oneself does not thank for getting nothing: Majority of Arabs think, out of arrogance, that they have / know everything. Only others do not. Oneself does not apologize for an error he did not commit. Majority of Arabs think , out of arrogance, that they do not fail. Only Others do. I think that it is a drastic culture that makes the majority of Arabs i.e. Tariq Ramadan to lie... Tariq Ramadan is a typical Arabic person !
