Reader comment on item: Documentary Exposes Radical Muslim Rhetoric
in response to reader comment: Religion and politics

I confess I fail to understand some of your comments. For example I cannot understand whether or not you support Bush in his war against terrorism. A war that is not only Bush's alone, but will involve the American people as well as every other democracy if allowed to continue. You mention the rule of law.

Unfortunately the radical Muslims do not accept the rule of law. They accept only what used to be called by the Nazis the 'final solution'. In this case global islamification, the destruction of democracy, and the obliteration of Israel. Once spread at the point of the sword. Islam is no longer powerful enough to do that. Terror has taken the place of open force. Yes, western religions, used to 'spread the word' by repression, but have since 'grown up'.

Having said that, Iran's totally transparent bid to become a nuclear power, would result in the destruction of Israel if allowed to continue. Their president has stated that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth. It speaks volumes, that if he is allowed to develop nuclear weapons he almost certainly will launch them against Israel, secure in the knowledge that while he and his coterie are well protected (I am not a gambler, but I would put money on that) His people will be killed by the millions in the counter attack.

Certainly, the threat of a nuclear strike would alter the face of the world as we know it. I do not pretend to be a politician, and I certainly do not pretend to know all (or even any) of the answers, but I believe Bush is doing his best in a situation not entirely of his making. The new masters in America the Democrats may think they are pursuing a policy of peace, but that is an illusion. Islam will never make peace until they have it all. Even then, you will toe the line or be escorted to 'chop chop' square on Fridays.
