Academic no surprise!

Reader comment on item: Terrorist Profs

Submitted by Jack (United States), Feb 25, 2003 at 10:44

The leftist movement has long been harbored in institutions of higher learning. Therefore it should come as no surprise that terrorists are included in their midst.

For years the left was able to survive and flourish in academia under the rule of "academic freedom." As their numbers grew they gained more and more control of disciplines and then the institution itself. As a power they totally discarded and actually attack "academic freedom" for anyone who disagreed with them, either student or faculty. Those who had demanded tolerance are in fact the most intolerant, myopic and vindictive.

Like an unchecked disease the infection spread. Today most colleges are nests of leftist vipers. So it should come as no surprise that Islamic terrorists have joined their ranks as most of their philosophies dovetail. The truth lies in the old adage: Birds of a feather flock together.
