Reader comment on item: Terrorist Profs

Submitted by Brenda Rossini (United States), Feb 24, 2003 at 08:01

Dear Prof. Pipes:

For some time, I have believed that professors Edward Said and Cherif Bassiouni were both un-objective incendiaries. Cherif Bassiouni has this Insitute Against Sexual Trafficking, it could be a branch of De Paul's Institute for Human Rights, but Bassiouni fundraises for his. He doesn't REALLY do anything against sexual trafficking, so what is the fundraising for? This last Sexual Trafficking newsletter exhorted the Prophet Muhammad! When you read Bassiouni's articles over the past years, you can see how questionable his objectivity is--how could he be teaching law? Said, I don't know too much about, since he's from out east, but I did see the photo of him symbolically stone-throwing while in Israel.
