Politicians ARE our problem. It is about much more than oil...it is called the politicians..ALL of them selling out this country. To make excuses about oil and our use and so on and so forth merely ignores the fact that current politics is nothing but a bunch of rogue thugs running this country doing what they please knowing far too many Americans do NOT pay attention and they get away with it.

We are indeed allowing China to become a huge financial power of the world and yes that is OUR fault.

"Great manipulation takes place to prevent a shift of those resources to enemy nations, such as China or North Korea. I would suggest that before additional commentary people look at this situation without the usual suspects of suspicion placed upon our own members of government." Sure and manipulation of our rogue politicians are sinking this very country. While they run around and appease the world in reference to oil and what money they can line their pockets with, the borders stay wide opened here we pay up the ying yang in taxes for illegal alien welfare. They have allowed gangs from south America to enter and igore them, we have a water crunch in the Western part of the US, we produce crap from this country and no longer self dependent. Our government pays farmers NOT to farm so we can bring crap produce in from foreign lands.

So, while you stay affixed to oil and the manipulation of our rogue officials around the world they are allowing this country to go to a third world and the dems are out to make us welfare dependent socialist.....certainly not what I wish for and not what this country deserves.
