Reader comment on item: Does Israel Need a [Peace] Plan?

Submitted by Kevin Handley (United States), Feb 2, 2003 at 10:49

dr. Pipes' razor sharp analysis is logical, truthful and inescapable, but the reader has to have the intestinal fortitude to accept it as true. I just wish President Bush, and Secretary Powell would read this, and be subjected to debate in private with Dr. Pipes until they are fully persuaded ( I bet the President would believe it in his heart, but political concerns would have to be wrestled down). Follow up with a similar session with a cadre of Israeli leaders, and maybe we'd get somewhere. Peace can only be maintained through strength in the hands of those with the moral authority to use it wisely, and decisively.
