Islamists confidence is a bad sign

Reader comment on item: America's Rude Islamists

Submitted by Gideon Reich (United States), Apr 23, 2006 at 13:08

I completely agree with Dr. Pipes that it's the latter. Observe the effects of the Hamas victory -- at first various people including many Conservatives argued that this was great -- now we know where the Palestinians stand and won't be able to pretend otherwise.

Well, those of us who knew, knew before when it was less obvious. The rest are quite content to continue to pretend otherwise regardless how obvious Hamas makes it. This is just like September 11 -- no event or demonstration will convince the pretenders. What is needed is a change of ideas.
