I'm MuslimReader comment on item: Islam Dispatches Santa Claus, the Bible, and Winnie the Pooh Submitted by Hind (Egypt), Mar 16, 2006 at 19:01 I'm Muslim and I love Winnie the Pooh and all the stories of him and Piglet and Tigger. I don't see anything wrong in toy pigs and statues - we're simply forbidden to eat pigs. Statues were forbidden once because people tended to worship them (idolators) but I think we've reached an age where we know we're not supposed to worship statues! I think it's ridiculous if children aren't allowed to watch Winnie the Pooh or own toys of the series or read the Three Little Pigs or own piggy banks.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
