Potential for Dystopia in Russian Inability to Rally for Revived Soviet Empire

There are plenty of clues that the Russian misread the potential to expand Russian influences and only manages to influence close allies while others recoil at the idea of a revived Soviet intimidation of hometowns beng raided to enforce a lost cause that will not end well.
That this mimics a similar situation as noticed elsewhere of the last time totalitarian ambitions raged globally cannot bode well for world that is losing all sense of rational human behavior and the criminal elements are sitting in the hot seats of furthering empty ambitions that will be their own doom.
